Ja’Lisa Marie brings complicated characters, buried secrets, and powerful emotions to the page and screen. A Houston-based author, award-winning filmmaker, and founder of Pynk Dyamond Productions, she creates stories that spark conversation and stay with audiences long after the credits roll.

​

Her storytelling journey began in 2019 with her debut novel, Dangerous Thirst, which grew into a trilogy completed in April 2022. With a vision to bring her stories to life on screen, Ja’Lisa pursued screenwriting and graduated from the Coach John Alexander Screenwriting Academy in July 2022. Before completing the program, she had already earned a writing credit on The Wrong One, starring Draya Michele and Jamal Woolard, and a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Screenwriting through the Push 24 Media Writers Room.

Since then, she has continued building a film catalog that explores love, betrayal, obsession, and the consequences of the choices people make. In April 2024, she made her directorial debut with Through Sickness and Hell, establishing her voice behind the camera.

Ja’Lisa was named Visual Artist of the Year in 2023 and 2024. In 2025, Through Sickness and Hell earned Best Indie Film of the Year, and she received both The Humanitarian Award and The Elite Producer Award—recognitions that reflect her creative accomplishments, leadership, and commitment to making a difference.

Ja’Lisa’s next chapter includes The Call Girl, an upcoming thriller scheduled for release in 2027.
